So… the food pyramid kind of just grew up. 🥩🥦

The new 2025–2030 U.S. dietary guidelines are out, and instead of more rules, they feel like a return to common sense. Real food is finally back in the conversation.

The NEW Food Pyramid, unveiled by US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins on January 7, 2026, emphasizes whole foods, higher protein intake, and fewer ultra-processed foods and added sugars.A few things that caught our eye:

🥩 Protein is getting more respect. The focus is on eating enough to actually support muscle and metabolism (1.2-1.6g/kg!), not just “getting by.”

🥑 Whole food fats are no longer the villain. Eggs, full-fat dairy, and traditional fats are being looked at in the context of real meals, not fear.

🚫 Added sugars are on their way out. The goal is less of the ultra-processed sweet stuff and more focus on nutrient density.

🍬 Less factory food, more kitchen food. Meals made from actual ingredients are the priority again.

What does this mean for your routine?

Less obsessing over numbers, more attention to quality. Whether you’re reaching for whole foods or using high-quality supplements to help bridge the gap to those new protein targets, the goal is the same: longevity and strength.

No sides to pick here. Just sharing what’s changing and why it matters for feeling good in your body.

Drop a 🥩 if protein has been your focus lately or a 🥑 if you’ve been leaning into whole foods. Either way, you’re welcome at our table 🤍
